Youth Leadership Council PhotoThe purpose of the Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is for high school students to become active in leadership and community service with the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.  YLC members raise awareness of our mission, support the House through fundraising and volunteer efforts, and act as ambassadors in the student’s school and community.

Youth Leadership Council members attend monthly meetings.  Members also stay current on all communications, and complete each of the “5 Hearts” of the Council before the end of the school year.

Hearts include:

  1. Planning, hosting, and attending a Youth Leadership Council group event
  2. Planning and hosting a YLC fundraiser
  3. Supporting the RMHC Phone Bank Season (Feb-March)
  4. Participating in at least 3 volunteer projects
  5. Initiating one individual project.
