Vijay Iyengar joined Incyte in May 2016. As Executive Vice President, G-MAP2S, he leads the company’s Global Medical Affairs, Product Strategy, Business Development, Alliance Management, and Rest of World (ROW) teams. Dr. Iyengar has over 20 years within the biotech and pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining Incyte, he served as the President of Genoptix Corporation, a Novartis Company. At Genoptix, Dr. Iyengar led a 650-person organization that delivered commercial and clinical oncology diagnostic testing services and developed new, innovative diagnostics for use commercially and in clinical trials. Previous to that, Dr. Iyengar held leadership roles in European, U.S., and Global functions at Novartis. Before joining Novartis in 2003, Dr. Iyengar was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he served pharmaceutical and medical device clients as part of their healthcare practice.
Dr. Iyengar received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with honors and distinction, from Stanford University and earned his MD from Harvard Medical School.
