Sara Funaiock

Volunteer Manager

Sara joined the staff of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware in the role of Volunteer Manager in 2007. Before joining the staff, Sara completed a year of service with AmeriCorps through Delaware State Parks where she served as a Volunteer Coordinator for Brandywine Creek State Park. Sara has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Delaware and a Master’s Degree in Management Science and Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University. In 2013, with the support of her peers, Sara earned the Certified Volunteer Administrator credential through the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration. In 2011, Sara was appointed to the Governor’s Commission on Volunteer and Community Service and appointed as Vice Chair representing Delaware Volunteerism in 2015. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Sara considers Delaware home. When she is not at the House, Sara enjoys the arts, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
