KIDS SUPERHERO AND PRINCESS PARTY CANCELED
At the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, our first and highest priority has been the health and safety of our families, volunteers, staff and special event participants. As we continue to monitor developments related to COVID-19 as well as the Governor’s requirements for large gatherings we have reached the very difficult decision that we must cancel the Super Hero and Princess Party that was originally scheduled for March 21, 2020 and then rescheduled for October 3, 2020. We will miss seeing all of the kids’ happy faces and the excitement of meeting their favorite Superhero or Princess.
Our staff at the Ronald McDonald House continues to care for families by providing them a safe, affordable guestroom as well as meals during this extremely stressful time. The Ronald McDonald House provides an essential service and we have not closed our doors during the pandemic. Through the pandemic we have never wavered from our mission- serving families with seriously ill children by enabling access to medical care and providing a place that offers comfort, hope and togetherness.
Please consider donating all or a portion of your ticket or souvenir purchase to our COVID-19 fund. The cancellation of several of our special events has drastically impacted our revenue. We are working hard to make sure that this does not impact our services and care for our families. The COVID-19 fund covers the additional costs of meals, enhanced cleaning protocols and other COVID-19 related expenses.
