Located on the third floor of the duPont Pavilion, The Ronald McDonald Family Room at the Family Resource Center is a partnership between Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, and RMHC Greater Delaware

Sleep Rooms and Napping
Social Work referral is required for overnight use. Napping is available Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. when the FRC is open and staffed by a volunteer/staff.
Napping is eligible to Family Care Providers of an inpatient or a patient in the emergency room who is waiting to be admitted as an inpatient, or caregivers of Surgical Services patients, and PACU families. Napping is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis
Center for Women’s and Children’s Health at ChristianaCare’s Newark Campus
The Center for Women’s and Children’s Health at ChristianaCare’s Newark Campus is located in a 400,000 square foot building that features the most up-to-date evidence-based models of care. The Center delivers more than 6,000 babies each year, making it a leading provider of maternity care in the region.
The Family Room is located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and open, when staff and volunteers are present, to all families welcoming a newborn receiving care in the unit.

Carts with a Heart
The hospitality of the Family Rooms is extended to other units and waiting areas where our Family Rooms are located, offering complimentary snacks and activities during the wait for a loved one receiving care.
Lunches With Love
Lunches with Love is our nutritional in-hospital meal program at our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms. Volunteers prepare healthy lunches that include sandwiches, snacks, and fruit which are then delivered to volunteers and staff to distribute to families.
