Michelle Figueroa

Family Support Services Coordinator 

Michelle joined Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Delaware in March 2022 as part of the Family Support Services team. Michelle earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, majoring in Human Development and Family Services, minoring in Spanish. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College.

Prior to working at RMHCGDE, Michelle served 20 years in the non-profit arena. Michelle began her professional career as an AmeriCorps member through Public Allies DE. Over the years, she has served as an infant and older child adoption social worker, adoption counselor, outreach coordinator, and professional adoption trainer for several adoption agencies in the tri-state area. Michelle most recently has worked in a local Montessori charter school coordinating the meal program and training volunteers, as well as developing and instructing a middle school elective class, Practical Life.

When not at work, Michelle enjoys reading, cooking, and adventuring with her husband and 6 children.
