Get ready for a Spoonful of Hope! Our new meal program launches April 8th, offering tastier and more diverse meals for families, all while keeping our amazing volunteers involved. Click here to read the full announcement and learn more about Spoonful of Hope!

Here’s the scoop

Join us for a rewarding volunteer opportunity to prepare and serve a delicious meal for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Our new chef, John, will guide you every step of the way.

Here’s how it works:

  • Chef John Takes the Lead: He’ll handle meal planning, ordering ingredients, prepping everything in advance, and even training you on cooking techniques.
  • Your Group Cooks & Serves: Following Chef John’s plan, you’ll work together to prepare and serve a home-cooked meal.
  • Group Size: We can accommodate up to 6 volunteers per group.
  • Scheduling: Choose a date that works best for you! Volunteer opportunities are available Sundays-Thursdays . You can expect to be here from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
  • Age Requirements: Anyone 12 years or older can participate. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult 21+.
  • Visiting the House: All group members must follow our SafeVisitor procedures outlined on our group volunteers page.
  • Donation: To cover food costs, we kindly ask for a suggested donation of $300 per group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Bond with friends and family while giving back to the community.
  • Learn new culinary skills from a professional chef.
  • Bring a smile to the faces of families facing a difficult time.
