Chris’s passion for non-profit work began very early in her career. Chris taught in a non-profit school housed in a log cabin in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains for 13 years. Next, after a couple years break working and loving as foster parents, Chris and her husband accepted jobs at a non-profit camp for children and teens with medical needs. They lived and worked at the camp for about 10 years. The life perspective they gained working with the amazing campers and staff was priceless! A few years after her husband passed, she moved back to Delaware to help her dad care for her mom who has dementia. Chris started in October of 2019 as a Relief Manager and transitioned to her new role as Resident Manager in March of 2020. She is blessed to have found another non-profit to love in RMHDE!
As a Delaware native, Chris grew up in Newark and graduated from UD. She currently resides with her sister, niece, nephew, their dog Jake, and their 3 kitties Clementine, Coco, and Cate.
